Much talk today about iTunes 4.9 and its Podcasting support.
On the surface, its quite a slick way for people to subscribe to Podcasts and listen to stuff at their convenience.
One thing nobody appears to have mentioned yet is the size of a typical Podcast file. A 7 min segment can clock in at around 17MB – this is a lot more than the average 4MB for music file. If you subscribe to a number of Podcasts, and particularly those with daily updates, you could find your iPod filling up a lot quicker than you thought.
A sneaky way to get people to buy bigger capacity iPods?
